Abstract

V diplomskem delu sta predstavljena življenje in delo mag. Branka Rajštra. Priznan pedagog in zborovodja je pustil neizbrisne sledi v slovenskem zborovodstvu in je še danes priznan kot avtoriteta z ogromnim znanjem. Bil je močna osebnost, neutruden delavec, ki se je svojemu delu popolnoma posvečal. Svoje izkušnje je na seminarjih posredoval glasbenim pedagogom. Skrbel je predvsem za mladinske pevske zbore in sodeloval pri ustanovitvah pevskih revij, na katerih so lahko pokazali svoje znanje. Vodil je številne pevske zbore, ki so pod njegovim vodstvom usvajali osnove vokalne tehnike in spoznavali različne glasbene stile in obdobja. Ogromno so nastopali, snemali in se udeleževali revij in tekmovanj, s katerih so se vračali s priznanji in nagradami. Bil je natančen zborovodja, ki je točno vedel, kako mora delati, da dosežejo maksimum. Čeprav je bil znan po svoji strogosti, so vsi spoznali, da je bilo to potrebno in so cenili tudi njegovo človeško plat. Svoje zborovodsko poslanstvo je do popolnosti uresničil z Mladinskim pevskim zborom Maribor, ki ga je pomagal ustanoviti in bil njegov vodja do prezgodnje smrti. Zaradi vsega naštetega so v diplomskem delu zbrani podatki o njegovem življenju in delu na enem mestu.

Secondary abstract:	The aim of my diploma paper was to introduce the life and work of Branko Rajšter, MSc. He was a renowned educator and choral conductor who left indelible traces in the Slovenian choral conducting and is still greatly appreciated today as an authority with huge knowledge. Branko Rajšter was a strong personality, respected for his untiring dedication to work. He passed his experience to music pedagogues at seminars. He focused mainly on youth choirs and was involved in the organisation of choral festivals where the choirs could show their knowledge. Throughout his life he led numerous choirs. Under his direction, they acquired basic vocal techniques and learned about different musical styles and periods. They gave many performances, recorded their work and attended festivals and competitions where they won numerous prizes and awards. Branko Rajšter was a precise conductor who knew exactly how he should work so as to achieve maximum perfection. All who knew him understood that his strictness was necessary. They also appreciated his human side. Branko Rajšter fully completed his mission as a choral conductor through the Maribor Youth Choir that he helped establish and whose conductor he was until his too early death. For all the above indicated reasons I decided to collect the information on Branko Rajšter's life and work and gather it all in one place in my diploma paper.
