Abstract
Spremembe v razvoju institucionalnega varstva so vplivale na družben položaj starih ljudi in na njihovo integracijo v družbo. Slovenija je izrazito institucionalno usmerjena, zato domovi za starejše predstavljajo vse večji delež pri oskrbi in zaščiti starostnikov. Od njih se pričakuje, da zadovoljijo tako primarne kot tudi sekundarne potrebe starih ljudi. V teoretičnem delu diplomskega dela so predstavljene nekatere značilnosti pojmovanja staranja in starosti. Analizirali smo družbene in strukturne značilnosti delovanja domov za starejše ter nekatera področja vseživljenjskega učenja starostnikov in zaposlenih v domovih. V empiričnem delu smo raziskovali, kako je poskrbljeno za socialno integracijo stanovalcev v dveh domovih za starejše v Sloveniji. Na podlagi intervjujev s stanovalci (N = 16) in socialnima delavkama (N = 2) ugotavljamo, da na učinkovitost integracije intervjuvane populacije vplivajo številni dejavniki, ki so podrobneje analizirani v samem diplomskem delu.

Affirmation of the elderly people through the prism of social integration |
Secondary abstract: |
Changes in the development of institutional care influenced the social position of elderly people and their integration in society. Slovenia is distinctively institutionally oriented - therefore homes for the elderly are presenting an increasingly larger share of care and protection of the elderly. They are expected to take care of and satisfy both primary and secondary needs of the people. In the theoretical part of the thesis some features of conceptualization of ageing and age are introduced. Social and structural features of homes for elderly are also analyzed as well as some fields of lifelong learning of the elderly people and of employees in homes. In empirical work we were investigating how social integration of the occupants in two homes for the elderly in Slovenia is taken care of. Based on interviews with occupants (N = 16) and two social workers (N = 2) we found out, that the efficient integration of the interviewed population had been influenced by numerous factors. They are analyzed in a more detail in the dissertation. |
