Abstract

V diplomskem delu se posvečamo vplivu spremenjivih snovnih lastnosti tekočine na klasičen dvo-dimenzionalen Couettov tok z viskozno disipacijo. Uporabljena je bila numerična shema, ki deluje na podlagi metode robnih elementov. Profila temperaturnega in hitrostnega polja sta predstavljena za tok tekočine, pri katerem imata zgornja in spodnja plošča temperaturo 273K v primerjavi z analitično rešitvijo, katera je obravnavana s konstantnimi snovnimi lastnostmi, ter z rezultati drugih avtorjev za tok tekočine s spremenljivimi lastnostmi. Ugotovili smo da ima nekonstantnost snovnih lastnosti znaten vpliv na rezultate temperaturnega in hitrostnega profila. Hitrostni profil namesto premice, ki nastopi pri simulaciji z konstantnimi snovnimi lastnostmi zavzame obliko S. Iz temperaturnega profila je razvidno, da se tekočina segreje na znatno nižjo temperaturo, kot pri preračunu s konstantnimi lastnostmi tekočine.

Secondary title: Classical Couette flow with viscous dissipation and variable fluid properties
Secondary abstract: This diploma thesis focuses on the effect of variable fluid properties on the classical two-dimensional Couette flow with viscous dissipation. We used numerical scheme, based on the boundary element method. Velocity and temperature profiles are presented for fluid flow, for equal plate temperatures, 273K, in comparison with analytical solution that is valid for constant properties and results presented by other authors for fluid with variable properties. It is found that variable fluid properties plays an important role in the results for velocity and temperature profiles. Velocity profile istead of straight line, which appears for constant properties has S form. From temperature profile is shown, that fluid is heated on significantly lower temperature than the fluid with constant properties.
