Abstract
Ko je informacijska tehnologija prišla na določeno stopnjo razvitosti in ko je internet prestopil prag večine domov v razvitih državah sveta je to v bančništvu sprožilo revolucijo velikih razsežnosti. Konkurenca je samo še poskrbela, da so prav vse sodobne banke stopile v korak s časom in svojim komitentom ponudile možnost poslovanja preko spleta. Seveda so banke na začetku internet izkoriščale zgolj v oglaševalske in informativne namene, vendar pa je s časom to prešlo na stopnjo, ko lahko komitenti prav vse, oz. večino bančnih poslov, za katere so prej morali obiskati bančno poslovalnico, opravijo kar od doma ali iz službe.
V Sloveniji elektronsko bančništvo po zadnjih podatkih uporablja 21 % komitentov slovenskih bank. Ti podatki sicer izhajajo iz leta 2008, zaradi česar verjamem, da je odstotek danes že nekoliko višji. Vendarle pa bode v oči podatek, da Slovenija še zmeraj precej zaostaja za evropskim povprečjem 27 držav, ki pa ga tvorijo tudi države, kot so Romunija, Bolgarija in Grčija, ki ga vlečejo zelo navzdol.
Prednosti uporabe spletnega bančništva je veliko. Tiste, ki jih banke najpogosteje omenjajo, so prihranek denarja in časa, možnost poslovanja 24 ur na dan vse dni v letu, zasebnost, varnost ter preprostejše življenje. Na drugi strani so tudi slabosti, ki jih banke nerade omenjajo, vendar pa to ne pomeni, da ne obstajajo. Med drugim so tako še zmeraj prisotne psihološke ovire uporabnikov, nezaupanje v tehnologijo in varnost. Banke pa imajo velike stroške investiranja, razvijanja ter usposabljanja osebja.
Primerjava slovenskih in tujih bank kaže, da slovenske banke v določenih segmentih sicer zaostajajo za najrazvitejšimi bankami, vendar pa vztrajno sledijo in se trudijo izboljšati ter zadovoljiti svoje komitente.
V zadnjih nekaj letih je spletno bančništvo izredno napredovalo. Strokovnjaki trdijo, da bo napredovalo še bolj, da se bo bolj razvijalo in da se ga bodo komitenti v prihodnosti še bolj posluževali. Glede na to, da razvoj informacijske tehnologije poteka eksponentno in da je uporabnikov interneta zmeraj več, je težko napovedati, kako bodo stvari videti v Sloveniji in v svetu čez 15 ali 20 let. Verjamem pa, da bodo precej drugačne od današnjih. Trendi kažejo, da se bodo delovna mesta v bankah pričela postopoma ukinjati, zamenjala jih bosta tehnologija in umetna inteligenca. Ljudem, ki so komitenti najrazvitejših bank, že danes ni potrebno prestopiti praga svoje banke in lahko kljub temu odprejo različne račune in poslujejo preko spleta. S prihodom mlajših generacij pa se bo ta trend le še stopnjeval.

When information technology reached a certain level of development and the internet walked into most of the houses in developed countries, internet banking experienced a big revolution. Competition made that all of the modern banks complied with the development and offered their customers the option to bank online. At first banks used the internet just for giving information and promotional reasons but with time this came to another level when customers can do all or most of their banking business online from home or from work.
According to recent data 21% of customers in Slovenian banks are using online banking. This data goes back to 2008, so I believe nowadays the percentage is slightly higher. What is most concerning is that Slovenia still lags behind the European Union average of 27 countries formed also by countries such as Bulgaria, Romania and Greece, who pull the average down a lot.
There are many advantages of online banking. Those that banks most often mention are saving money and time, the possibility of operating 24 hours a day all year, privacy, security and a simpler life. On the other hand, there are disadvantages that banks do not like mentioning, but that does not mean they do not exist. Among some others the psychological barriers of users are still present, confidence in the technology and safety is low. Banks have high costs of investment, development and training of personnel.
Comparison of Slovenian and foreign banks shows that Slovenian banks in certain segments still lag behind the most developed banks, but still persistently follow and seek to improve and meet with their clients demands.
In recent years online banking became very advanced. Experts say that it will advance even more; it will become even more developed and usage will become even higher. Considering the facts of informational technology exponential development and higher and higher number of internet users it is difficult to predict how things will look like in Slovenia and abroad in 15 or 20 years. I believe it will be very different from today. Trends show that jobs in banks will gradually begin to phase out and will be replaced by technology and artificial intelligence. For most developed banks, customers already do not need to enter the bank personally even once in their life and still they can open up different accounts and do business online. With the advent of younger generation this trend will only escalate. |
