Abstract

Vojna fotografija je področje, na spremembe katerega so vplivali številni dejavniki. Najpomembnejši med njimi so razvoj fotografske opreme, razvoj tiska in možnost reprodukcije fotografij v tiskanih medijih ter posledično posredovanje vojnih fotografij širši množici, socialno in kulturno ozadje ter stopnja cenzure in nadzora nad objavo vojnih fotografij in njihovo vsebino v času posnetja določene vojne fotografije. Ti dejavniki so se spreminjali iz vojne v vojno, vedno pa so soodvisno in sočasno vplivali na vojno fotografijo. Vojni fotografi so se tako spopadali z mnogimi omejitvami, ki so jih morali upoštevati pri svojem delu in ki so vplivali na končni videz ter vsebino posnetih fotografij.

Secondary abstract: War photography is a field which experienced changes that were influenced by many factors. Some of the most important factors were course of development of photographic equipment, course of development of printing press, possibility of reproducing photographs in print media and consequently possibility of mediating war photographs to public, social and cultural background and level of censorship and control over publishing war photographs and their content at the time when certain war photograph was taken. Those factors experienced changes from war to war but they always interdependently and all at the same time affected war photography. War photographers were confronted with many restrictions they had to consider while working and those restrictions affected final appearance and content of taken photographs.
