Abstract

Prilagajanje spremembam v poslovnem okolju je temeljnega pomena za obstoj slehernega podjetja. Sodobno trženje postaja temeljna filozofija vseh sodobnih, tržno usmerjenih podjetij. Z elektronskim poslovanjem so podjetja s pomočjo računalnikov in informatizacije procesov posodobila del ali celotno poslovanje, kot na primer komunikacijo z dobavitelji in odjemalci, skladiščenje, distribucijo, trženje, prodajo in podobno. Vendar je elektronska trgovina le del elektronskega poslovanja podjetja. Spletna trgovina ima prednosti tako za prodajalce, kot za kupce. Kupci so zadovoljni, ker lahko kupujejo neposredno z domačega naslanjača in to 24 ur na dan. Pri nakupovanju preko interneta lahko prihranijo ogromno časa pa tudi samo nakupovanje ne povzroča stresov, ki so značilni za navadno nakupovanje (iskanje parkirnega prostora, komunikacija s prodajnim osebjem, itd). Za prodajalce pomeni spletna trgovina dodaten kanal za prodajo njihovih izdelkov oz. storitev, prodajo, ki je neodvisna od časa in prostora, globalno navzočnost ter večjo selektivnost glede možnih kupcev. Za primer spletne trgovine sem si izbrala spletni portal eBay. Prodaja novih ali rabljenih stvari na spletni strani eBay (www.eBay.com) je danes vir zaslužka mnogim ljudem po celem svetu. Ti ljudje ne prodajajo samo tistih stvari, ki jih ne potrebujejo več, ampak so iz prodaje na spletni strani eBay naredili pravi posel.

Secondary abstract: In order to survive, adapting to changes in the business environment is essential for each and every company. Modern marketing is becoming the basic philosophy in all modern, marketing oriented companies. By means of electronic business, with the help of computers and computerising processes companies have updated a part of or the whole of their business, as for example, communication with suppliers and demanders, stocking, distribution, marketing, sale, etc. However, an electronic shop is only a part of a company’s electronic business. Online store benefits both salesmen and consumers. Consumers are satisfied because they are able to purchase goods effortlessly from their couch at any time of the day, thus, saving time, energy and stress, which usually comes with the traditional shopping (finding a parking space, communicating with the sales staff, etc.) Furthermore, salesmen gain an additional channel for selling their products or services, selling independent of time or space, global presence and bigger selectivity of potential consumers. I have chosen eBay, the online portal, as my representative example. Selling new or used products on eBay website (www.eBay.com) is the main source of income for numerous people around the world. These people do not merely sell things they no longer need, they have indeed made a business out of it.
