Abstract

Android je najhitrejše rastoči mobilni operacijski sistem. Tukaj je dovolj raznolikosti v lastnostih naprave in brezžičnih zmožnosti, da privabi pravzaprav vsakogar. Normalni računalniki in prenosniki so vedno bili naravna platforma za adaptacijo Androida, ampak ideja in vztrajnost Androida je povzročila rast tudi pri televiziji in celo avtomobilih. Vsakdo želi biti prisoten v Androidu. V diplomski nalogi bomo zgradili mobilno RSS aplikacijo z podporo pripomočkov. Tako bomo spoznali arhitekturo Androida, sistem, potrebna orodja, da takšno aplikacijo zgradimo, ter prednosti in slabosti pametnega programiranja. Demonstrirali bomo, kako so podatki shranjeni na telefonu, kako dobimo pomembne novice na mobilni telefon hitro z ter brez podpore RSS, ter kako lahko navigiramo skozi listo novic hitro in učinkovito. Pokazali bomo tudi, kako nas lahko pripomočki hitro opozorijo na nove novice in nam tako olajšajo življenje.

Secondary abstract:	Android is the fastest growing mobile operating system. There is enough diversity in device features and wireless carriers to appeal to just about anyone. Normal computers and netbooks have always been a natural platform to adopt Android, but the inertia behind Android has fed the growth further into televisions and even cars. Now everyone wants to have a presence in Android. In the thesis, we will build a mobile RSS application with widget support. By doing so, we will learn its architecture, we will get to know the system, tools needed to create an application for the system, and benefits and drawbacks of smart-phone programming. More specifically we will learn its architecture and we will show its practical use on mobile RSS application with widget support. We will demonstrate how data is stored on the mobile phone, how to get relevant news on the mobile phone quickly with and without use of really simple syndication protocol, and how we can navigate through this list of news quickly and efficiently. We will also show how widgets can quickly notify us of any new news, thus making our lives easier.
