Abstract

Onesnaževanje zraka je že vrsto let resen problem in za to so v veliki meri zaslužni tudi motorji z notranjim zgorevanjem. Za pogon motorjev se najpogosteje uporabljajo goriva fosilnega izvora (dizel, bencin), pri zgorevanju katerih nastajajo škodljivi produkti kot so ogljikov monoksid, ogljikov dioksid, žveplov dioksid itd. Da bi se izognili onesnaževanju zraka z omenjenimi emisijami, posegamo po čistejših gorivih, tako imenovanih biogorivih. Namen diplomske naloge je ugotoviti fizikalne in kemijske lastnosti različnih biogoriv in njihov vpliv na karakteristike procesa vbrizgavanja. V ta namen je bil uporabljen čisti dizel, čisti biodizel in njune mešanice s 5, 10 in 15% deležem bioetanola. Na osnovi narejenih analiz in eksperimentalno pridobljenih rezultatov lahko sklepamo, da ima bioetanol pomemben vpliv na karakteristike procesa vbrizgavanja, s tem pa na nastanek škodljivih emisij in tudi porabo goriva.

Secondary title: Influence of biofuels on injection characteristics
Secondary abstract: Air pollution has been a serious problem for many years, and internal combustion engines take most of the credit for it. Fossil fuels (diesel, petrol) are normally used for running engines, however their combustion produces a lot of harmful products like carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, sulphur dioxide, etc. In order to avoid the air pollution caused by harmful emissions, alternative (cleaner) fuels, so called bio-fuels, are used. In my paper, I wanted to state physical and chemical properties of various bio-fuels and their impact on the characteristics of fuel injection process. For this purpose, pure diesel, pure biodiesel and their mixture combined with 5, 10 and 15% of bio-ethanol were used. Based on the analyses and the acquired experiment results can be concluded that bio-ethanol hugely influences the characteristics of fuel injection process, and consecutively also enables the existence of harmful emissions and has an impact on fuel consumption.
