Pomen trajnostnega razvoja za konkurenčnost regije - primer Steirisches Vulkanland

Abstract

V zadnjih letih so nam na različne načine bile prikazane negativne posledice človeškega dejanja za naravo in zahteve po globalnih ekoloških iniciativah so postale čedalje bolj glasne. Izkazalo pa se je, da so podlaga za dosego globalnih ekoloških ciljev dejanja na regionalni ravni. V skupino teh regionalnih iniciativ pa spada tudi projekt »Steirisches Vulkanland« v Avstriji. 79 med seboj povezanih občin si je zadalo cilj na podlagi medsebojnega sodelovanja in upoštevanja načel trajnostnega razvoja skrbeti za (gospodarski) napredek regije. S skupnimi močmi jim je tako uspelo uspešno realizirati številne projekte in tako izboljšati gospodarski položaj regije. Posledično pa se je povečala tudi konkurenčnost regije, pri kateri imajo pomembno vlogo regionalni indikatorji konkurenčnosti: število na novo ustanovljenih podjetij v regiji, dvig gospodarske zmogljivosti in ravni plač, turistična dejavnost, število proizvodov in obratov pod znamko »Steirisches Vulkanland« in inovativnost.

Secondary abstract:	In the past years we were shown in many different ways the negative consequences of human acts for the nature in the demands for global ecological initiatives got more and more louder. It turned out that the basis for global ecological initiatives are acts at the regional level. Part of these regional initiatives is the project »Steirisches Vulkanland« (Styrian Vulcan land) in Austria. 79 interconnected communities set the goal to take care for the (economic) development of the region, on the foundation of cooperation and consideration of the principles of sustainable development. With common work they successfully realized a number of projects and by that they improved the economic situation in the region. Consequently the competitiveness of the region improved, in which the regional indicators of competitiveness have an important role: the number of new established companies in the region, the raise of economic capacity and of the wage level, the touristic activity, the number of products and companies under the brand »Steirisches Vulkanland« and innovation.
