diplomsko delo

Abstract

Secondary title: Determination of heavy metals with ICP - AES in calcium phosphates
Secondary abstract: The purpose of the diploma thesis was to measure in real samples of calcium phosphates and reference materials or standard solutions by ICP - AES to confirm whether this method is suitable for the determination of arsenic, cadmium and lead in samples of calcium phosphates "feed" and "food" quality and check the quality of results from real samples depending on the applicable legislation. There is few literature data available on analysis of heavy metals of calcium phosphate since there are not many producers of calcium phosphates in the world. First of all, it was confirmed using a reference material and prepared standards that the method for determination a content of heavy metals is suitable in a selected range. Then I measured the amount of heavy metals in real samples of calcium phosphates, and their content was compared with the current legislation on feed and food. The content of arsenic, cadmium and lead is in accordance with the law in calcium phosphates "feed" quality of 10 mg / kg for arsenic and cadmium, and 15 mg / kg for lead. For calcium phosphates "food" qualities these values are lower, ranging from 1 mg / kg for cadmium, 3 mg / kg for arsenic and 4 mg / kg for lead.
