Abstract

Digestorij je osrednja procesna naprava za zagotavljanje varnosti v laboratoriju. V podjetju Krka d.d. so v delovni prostor nekaterih naprav zaradi priročnosti namestili police, na katerih hranijo kemikalije. Modificiran delovni prostor ima drugačno uspešnost pri odplinjanju škodljivih plinov kot nespremenjen. S pomočjo računalniške dinamike tekočin sem simuliral dogajanje v delovnem prostoru brez polic in z nameščenimi policami. Večja kot je vtočna površina, uspešnejše je odnašanje plina. Pri zaprtem vtočnem oknu se koncentracija plina v delovnem prostoru zmanjšuje hitreje v primeru z nameščenimi policami. Z odpiranjem okna se razmere obrnejo. Glede na naravo dela in pogostost posegov med kemijskimi preizkusi, je za zagotavljanje večje varnosti zaposlenih potrebno police odstraniti.

Secondary title: Flow field based influence analysis of concentration decrease in lab digestorium
Secondary abstract: Digestorium is a central processing device for safety insurance in the lab. In the Krka d.d. company shelves were installed into working spaces of several devices. It is more convenient, since they are used for chemical storage. Modified working space has a different efficiency at the removal of toxic gasses as the original one. With the help of Computational Fluid Dynamics I simulated events which take place in the modified and original working space. The bigger the inflow gets, the better is the removal of toxic gasses. With a closed inflow window, the concentration of toxic gasses drops faster with installed shelves. If we open the inflow window, the concentration drops faster at original working space. Regarding the high frequency of interventions into the working space during chemical experiments, shelves should be removed to ensure a better safety.
