Abstract

Diplomsko delo obravnava predstavitev lesenih in masivnih mostov od nekoč do danes. Namen diplomskega dela je raziskati zgodovino mostov, poiskati prednosti in slabosti enega in drugega ter primerjati tehnologije gradnje.Iz prvih primitivnih poskusov gradnje mostov, ki so bili izdelani iz debel, kamnov in vrvi, so se razvile kompleksnejše gradnje. Les in kamen sta najstarejša in tudi iz narave dana materiala, na podlagi katerih se je gradnja mostov razvila. Nekoč je bil nastanek mostov prava iznajdba, danes pa inženirji med seboj tekmujejo kateri bo naredil najbolj izjemen most.

Secondary abstract: Graduation thesis discusses the presentation of timber and solid bridges from past to present. The objective of this graduation thesis is to explore the history of bridges, to find the advantages and disadvantages of both and to compare the construction technologies.From the first primitive attempts of building bridges, which were made of trunks, stones and ropes, a more complex construction has developed. Wood and stone are the oldest materials, given to us by the nature and of which the construction of bridges developed. Once bridges were considered to be a true invention, and nowadays engineers compete among themselves, who will build the most remarkable bridge.
