Abstract

V diplomskem delu se ukvarjamo s problematiko rekonstrukcije površja iz oblaka točk. Oblak točk je strukturno nepovezana množica 3D točk, ki jih dobimo pri postopku 3D prebiranja. Ker oblaki točk niso primerni za nadaljnjo obdelavo, moramo določiti 3D površje na katerem ležijo točke. V nalogi predstavimo dve izvirni metodi za rekonstrukcijo površja: aproksimativno in eksaktno. Obe metodi časovno ocenimo in ju primerjamo z obstoječimi rešitvami.

Secondary title: Surface reconstruction methods from point cloud
Secondary abstract: A surface reconstruction from 3D point cloud is considered in this thesis. The point cloud is structurally unrelated set of 3D points, which are gathered during the 3D scanning process. Because point clouds are not useful for further processing, suitable 3D surfaces have to be created. Two novel surface reconstruction methods are proposed in this work: an approximate and an exact. Both methods are analyzed for time complexity and compared with the existing solutions.
