Abstract

V diplomskem delu naslavljamo vmesnike človek – stroj in z njimi povezan zajem elektroencefalogramov (EEG). Proučimo možnosti nizkocenovne izvedbe vezij za zajem signalov EEG in glavne paradigme, na katerih temelji komunikacija možgani –računalnik, predvsem potencial P 300 in ritem Mu. V drugem sklopu diplomskega dela predstavimo odprtokodno programsko platformo BCI 2000 in nizkocenovno vezje za zajem signalov EEG ModularEEG. Podrobno opišemo njune slabosti in zasnovo izpeljanih izboljšav.

Secondary abstract: In this thesis, we address the topic of brain-computer interfaces and the associated acquisition of electroencephalographic data. We examine the possibilities of low-cost implementation of circuits for EEG data acquisition and its main paradigms, that are the basis of brain-computer based communication, particularly the P 300 potential and Mu rhythm. In the second part of the thesis, we introduce the open-source software platform BCI 2000 and low-cost circuit ModularEEG, designed for EEG acquistion, followed by a detailed analysis of BCI 2000 platform and Modular EEG circuits and its suitability for the purpose of brain-computer interfaces. The analysis revealed several construction weaknesses that make Modular EEG circuits less suitable for EEG acquisiton, thus, several guidelines for its further developement are provided.
