Abstract

Skozi zgodovinski razvoj nacionalnih kinematografij Slovenije in Turčije spoznamo položaj ženskih likov v filmih in vloge, ki so jih igralke najpogosteje odigrale. V študiji primera analiziramo ženske like v sodobnem slovenskem in turškem filmu Petelinji Zajtrk in Tri Opice, kjer ugotovimo razlike in podobnosti med ženskimi vlogami v dveh različnih sodobnih evropskih kinematografijah

Secondary title: The representation of women in Slovenian and Turkish film
Secondary abstract: In the diploma thesis we focus on the film aspect which represents ideological values. We are interested in how film serves the ruling élite in a creation of woman's position in modern society. We focus on the presentation of a woman in film industry and identify stereotypes and myths about women, which are consolidated by means of films. Throughout the historical development of national cinematography in Slovenia and Turkey we become familiar with women's characters in films and roles, which were most frequently played by the actresses. In the case study we analyze women's characters in modern Slovenian and Turkish film, i.e. Rooster's Breakfast and Three Monkeys, where we establish the differences and similarities between women's roles in two different modern European cinematographies.
