Secondary abstract: | The authoress defines with the diploma the status of an employee in the insolvent company. At the beginning she focuses on the term of insolvency. She continues with the description of important characteristics of bankruptcy procedure and compulsory settlement. She also writes about protection of worker’s claims by the Law on Financial Operations, insolvency and compulsory settlement and by the Law on Public Guarantee Maintenance Fund of the Republic of Slovenia. In the middle part of the diploma she provides insight in the position of priority claims, application claims, termination of the employment contract and the workers’ rights. She compares them with the insolvency proceedings and compulsory settlement procedure. The authoress presents the subject matter also from the perspective of the Canadian Federal Law. She focuses on the position of creditors in bankruptcy procedure and in the consumer proposal. Furthermore she writes about the Termination of Employment and the Wage Earner Protection Program. |
