Abstract

Diplomsko delo raziskuje narodnostno identiteto druge in tretje generacije potomcev slovenskih izseljencev v Argentini. Osredotoča se na teorijo migracij, mednarodne migracije in različne teorije prilagajanja migrantov na novo okolje. Definira identiteto in proces primarne ter sekundarne socializacije, ki ključno prispevata k oblikovanju identitete, tudi narodnostne. Opredelitev glavnih značilnosti slovenske izseljenske skupnosti v Argentini predstavlja nekakšen uvod v raziskavo, katere glavni cilj je ugotoviti, koliko je slovenska narodnostna identiteta prisotna med dvema različnima generacijama potomcev slovenskih izseljencev v Argentini.

Secondary abstract:	The following thesis explores the national identity of second and the third generation of Slovene descendants in Argentina. It focuses on migration theory, international migrations and different theories of migrants’ adaptation to their new environment. It defines the meaning of identity and the process of primary and secondary socialisation which respectively have crucial impact on forming of person's identity, including national identity. The research is supported by stating main characteristics of the Slovenian emigrant community in Argentina. It aims to determine the presence of Slovene national identity among two different generations of Slovene descendants in Argentina.
