Abstract

Secondary title: Optimization of reductor`s housing for casting procedure
Secondary abstract: The company SIP, is developing new tedder, part of which is also a reducer that transfers the torque to rotation knobs. The central thesis topic is the reconstruction of reducers housing from the current prototype form, which is designed to be welded together, to the form which is appropriate for sand casting. Special simulations have been used to determinate a correct placement of all technological features. The reconstruction should meet all the requirements of the casting technology while fully maintain its functionality. At the end it has been proved that, even at small series, foundry can be more economical than welding.
