Abstract

Diplomsko delo obravnava umeščanje art centra na degradiranao zemljišče na robu mesta ob Pekrskem potoku v neposredni bližini stanovanjskega naselja Borova vas, z namenom revitalizacije tega in okoliških spalnih naselij. Kratkemu uvodu v projekt EPK sledi natančnejša analiza dolgorčnih vplivov projekta EPK Glasgow 1990 in Antwerpen 1993, ki slovita kot vzgledna primera pozitivnega vpliva na dolgoročni razvoj mesta in širše regije. Na to se navezuje prostorski razvoj mesta Maribor, ki naj bi ga generiral EPK. Sledi opis projektov Rumene hiše – začasne prostorske instalacije v letu 2009, ko je Linz nosil naslov EPK in mestne četrti Ausersichl v Zürichu, ki sta služila kot osnovi za programsko zasnovo projekta. Diplomsko delo zaključuje urbanistično-arhitekturna zasnova art centra ob Pekrskem potoku.

Secondary abstract: The diploma thesis focuses on the placing of an art center on edge of the city on a degraded piece of land near a stream and a residential area with the aim to revitalise it and other residential ares nerby.. A short introduction to the ECC programme is followed by a more precise analysis of the longterm effects of the project Glasgow 1990 and Antwerp 1993, which are known as the most succesfull cities regarding the long-term development of the city and the region. This is linked to the spatial development of the city of Maribor, which would be generated through the ECC. A case study of two projects, Yellow House - a temporary spatial installation in 2009, when the city of Linz was entitled ECC and the community center Ausersichl in Zurich, has served as the basis for the outline of programme for the project. The thesis concludes with an urban planning related and architectural design of the art center near Pekre stream.
