Abstract

Secondary title: Nanotechnology in civil engineering - nano-to meter-scale building
Secondary abstract: This research is concerned with nanotechnology in civil engineering, having its main focus on nano-to meter- scale building. In the first part it is written where and on which ways nanotechnology is already used nowadays. Moreover, the concept of nano-to meter-scale building, that could get its usable form within twenty years, is discussed and shown in details. As a basic material, carbon will be used. From the atmosphere the molecules of carbon dioxide will be captured, by the nanorobots. Afterward, from these molecules, carbon will be extracted and the remaining oxygen will be released back to the atmosphere. The process itself will be fully automated and the costs of the construction will be reduced to minimum.
