diplomsko delo
Abstract

Determination of total organic carbon and dissolved organic carbon in swimmingpool waters |
Secondary abstract: |
The purpose of diploma thesis is to measure the total or dissolved organic carbon in swimming pool waters. Thus the matrix will be extended, since the same method, the same procedure and the same technical equipment was already used for measuring TOC in other water types, e.g., drinking water, surface waters, underground waters, waste waters, leachates, mineral waters).
The analytical method includes method optimisation, preparing calibration curve, assessing system stability, assessing accuracy of the linear model of calibration curve, quality coefficient, repeatability and reproducibility in swimming pool waters, where we acquired the data for the entire validation procedure.
The content of organic carbon in swimming pool waters was statistically evaluated according to the requirements of the validation procedure. The results of repeatability and reproducibility are acceptable at four different concentration levels and meet the criterion prescribed (20%).
The method was tested in the analyses of certified reference materials and in various inter-laboratory comparisons. We stayed within the tolerance limit of 4%.
We have confirmed that the analytical method in question complies with the conditions prescribed and ensures the accuracy and reliability of the results. |
