Abstract

Leta 2012 bo mesto Maribor nosilec laskavega naziva Evropska prestolnica kulture. Sam projekt je kulturno zelo pester ter pokriva veliko različnih kulturnih tipov. Eden izmed njih je tudi umetnost. Za razstavljanje in predstavljanje umetnosti je potrebna primerna infrastruktura, ki pa je mesto trenutno ne premore. Zato smo v diplomskem delu razvijali projekt, ki se imenuje Hiša umetnosti na Trgu svobode. Diplomsko delo vsebuje in analizira sam projekt EPK, analiziranje in zgodovinski razvoj ožjega območja obdelave ter zasnovo primerne hiše umetnosti po vzoru uspešnih projektov iz tujine.

Secondary abstract: In 2012, the city of Maribor is going to carry the flattering title of European Capital of Culture. The project itself is culturally very diverse and covers many different cultural types. One of them is art. For exhibiting art and presenting it, the appropriate infrastructure is needed, which the city currently lacks. Therefore, we developed a project named The House of Art in Freedom Square. Graduate work includes and analyzes the development of European Capital of Culture on a wider and narrower area of processing and designs of suitable houses of art along the lines of successful and similar projects abroad.
