Abstract

Hitro spreminjajoče okolje 21. stoletja nenehno narekuje svoje zahteve in priložnosti, na katere se morajo podjetja in ljudje odzivati ter prilagajati. Če hočejo biti podjetja uspešna in učinkovita, morajo nove potenciale iskati tudi v strukturi organizacije. Organizacijska struktura je odvisna od situacijskih spremenljivk, in sicer tehnologije, okolja in velikosti podjetja, ciljev in strategije ter zaposlenih v podjetju. V diplomski nalogi so opredeljene posebnosti managementa v majhnih in družinskih podjetjih. V podjetju X se namreč na področju organiziranja in vodenja pojavljajo tako značilnosti majhnih kot tudi družinskih podjetij. Za boljše razumevanje podjetja X so predstavljena mnenja različnih avtorjev o organizacijski strukturi in tipi organizacijskih struktur. Posebna pozornost je namenjena petim ključnim situacijskim dejavnikom, ki vplivajo na oblikovanje organizacijske strukture. Teoretična izhodišča, predstavljena na začetku diplomske naloge, so osnova za posnetek stanja v podjetju X, ki zajema analizo organizacijskih struktur in analizo situacijskih spremenljivk, ki vplivajo na organizacijo. S posnetkom stanja v podjetju X dobimo celovit vpogled v delovanje podjetja na področjih dodeljenih odgovornosti in pristojnosti po delovnih mestih, potencialov zaposlenih, interne komunikacije in organizacijske klime v podjetju. Ugotovljena slika obstoječega stanja je izhodišče za pripravo predlogov sprememb in izboljšav v podjetju X.

Secondary abstract: The fast-changing environment of the 21st century constantly creates challenges and opportunities to which companies and individuals must react and adapt. To be successful and efficient, companies must seek new possibilities in their organisational structure, which in turn depends on situational variables such as a company’s technological resources, environment and size, its goals and strategy as well as its employees. The diploma thesis defines the characteristics of both small and family-run businesses, as company X, analysed in the thesis, displays organisational and managerial characteristics of both company types. For a better understanding of company X, the thesis presents views on organisational structure and its types by various authors, while special focus is placed on five key situational factors influencing the formation of organisational structure. Theoretical premises presented at the beginning of the thesis form the basis for a snapshot of the situation in company x, which includes analyses of organisational structure and situational variables influencing the organisation. The snapshot of the situation in company X provides a thorough insight into its operation in the field of delegated responsibilities and duties of individual jobs, employee potential, internal communication and organisational climate, further serving as a starting point for alteration and improvement proposals.
