Abstract
Vloga ženske v družbi se v zadnjih letih izjemno hitro razvija in oblikuje v novih dimenzijah, ki ne predstavljajo novih izzivov samo za ženske, temveč tudi za družbo kot tako. Dejstvo, da se ženske vključujejo v tako imenovane aktivne sfere življenja, je rezultat njihovih aktivnosti z dokazovanjem sposobnosti, nenehnega nadgrajevanja znanja, moči prilagajanja z ostalimi aktivnostmi v življenju, še posebej pa usklajevanja dela in družine. Ambicije, ki ženejo ženske v ustvarjanje izjemnih rezultatov na področju dela in osebne rasti, pripomorejo tudi k svetovnemu gospodarstvu. Čeprav danes ženske predstavljajo že več kot 50 odstotkov svetovnega prebivalstva, vseeno še vedno v nobeni državi niso med podjetniki in menedžerji zastopane s skoraj 50-odstotnim deležem.
Magistrsko delo je sestavljeno iz petih poglavij in predstavlja ženske na vodilnih položajih v gospodarstvu v Republiki Sloveniji. V prvem poglavju natančneje opredelimo obravnavano temo dela ter zastavimo cilje in hipoteze. Drugo in tretje poglavje predstavljata teoretični del magistrskega dela. V drugem poglavju se osredotočimo na opredelitev identitete in vloge žensk na vodilnih položajih, podrobneje opišemo položaj žensk v Sloveniji ter njihovo izobrazbo in s tem povezano delovno aktivno prebivalstvo po spolu in stopnji strokovne izobrazbe skozi leta, posledično opredelimo tudi poklice, katere opravljajo ženske v Sloveniji, ter strukturno statistiko plač.
V tretjem poglavju magistrskega dela se osredotočimo na pomen družine in kariere pri ženskah. Opredelimo problematiko usklajevanja materinstva in kariere, poudarimo pomen partnerstva pri gradnji kariere in podrobneje opišemo razloge za manjše število žensk na vodilnih položajih ter ovire in težave, s katerimi se srečujejo pri napredovanju. Poudarimo tudi, kakšen je razvoj kariere pri ženskah ter kakšen je ženski stil vodenja in kako na vodilnih položajih premagujejo težke stresne situacije na delovnem mestu. V tretjem poglavju hkrati tudi opredelimo in opišemo organizacije za izboljšanje položaja žensk, ki delujejo v Republiki Sloveniji.
Četrto poglavje je empirični del magistrskega dela, v katerem predstavimo opravljeno raziskavo na temo ženske na vodilnih položajih v Republiki Sloveniji. Raziskavo smo opravljali med sto naključno izbranimi ženskami in z njo prikazali razloge za manjše število žensk na vodilnih položajih, vzroke večje izčrpanosti žensk na vodilnih položajih. Iskali smo tudi razloge, zakaj se ženske ne odločajo za kariero, vse podatke analitično obdelali ter podali predloge in mogoče izboljšave.

The role of women in society is in recent years developing very rapidly and forming in new dimensions, which do not pose new challenges only for women, but also for society as a whole. The fact that women engage in so-called active spheres of life is the result of their activities by demonstrating the ability of continuous upgrading of knowledge, ability of adapting with other activities in life, and especially to reconcile work and family. Ambitions which drive women to deliver outstanding results both at work and in personal growth also contribute to the global economy. Although women today represent more than 50 per cent of the world’s population they still are not represented by nearly 50 per cent share in any country among entrepreneurs and managers.
Master's thesis consists of five chapters and represents women in leadership positions in the economy in the Republic of Slovenia. In the first chapter the subject of the work is more accurately defined and the objectives and hypotheses are set. The second and third sections present the theoretical part of the thesis. In the second chapter we focus on the definition of identity and role of women in leadership positions, we describe in detail the status of women in Slovenia and the education of women and related working population by sex and level of professional education through the years, and consequently define the occupations which women in Slovenia perform and structural statistics on wages.
In the third chapter of the thesis, we focus on the importance of family and career for women. We define the problem of coordination of motherhood and career, emphasize the importance of partnership in building a career and describe in detail the reasons for fewer women in leading positions and obstacles and difficulties women face in advancing. We also highlight the career development of women and what women's management style is like and at the same time how women in leadership positions are overcoming severe stress in the workplace. In the third chapter we also define and describe the organizations operating in the Republic of Slovenia for the Advancement of Women.
The fourth chapter is the empirical part of the thesis, in which we present the study on the topic of women in leading positions in the Republic of Slovenia. The research was carried out among one hundred randomly selected women and with it we showed the reasons for fewer women in leading positions, causes for greater exhaustion of women in leading positions ... We have searched for reasons why women do not choose a career and we have analytically processed all the data and made suggestions and possible improvements. |
