diplomsko delo visokošolskega strokovnega študija
Abstract
Model bo uporabljen v podjetju Petrol, d. d., v oddelku razvoj maloprodaje.

DEVELOPMENT OF SIMULATION MODEL FOR DECISION SUPPORT IN DETERMINING THE NUMBER OF FILLING PLACES AT THE GAS STATION |
Secondary abstract: |
When planning a new petrol station or a reconstruction of an existing petrol station, it is necessary to determine the number of filling places for cars, the number of filling places for trucks and the number of filling places for gas vehicles. Until now, calculations and similar analyses in determining the number of filling places, have not been performed. The number of filling places was determined on the basis of past experiences. Because of that, when a petrol station had been built, problems eventually arose. There were not enough filling places for particular types of vehicles, which resulted in long queues. On the other hand, too many filling places resulted in unutilized equipment and high expenses when buying new equipment.
To solve this problem, we will develop a simulation model in GPSS simulation software, which will help us determine the necessary number of filling places for a particular petrol station. The model will be used at Petrol d.d. company, in the Department of Retail Sales Development. |
