diplomsko delo visokošolskega strokovnega študijskega programa
Abstract

Drinking water treatment from Skorba waterworks |
Secondary abstract: |
The aim of our thesis was to evaluate the quality of drinking water from the Skorba waterworks and to test the efficiency of the eSpringTM water purifier. We conducted the physico-chemical and microbiological analyses of treated and untreated drinking water samples in laboratory. Results of physico-chemical analyses were congruent with regulations on drinking water, except the concentrations of pesticides (atrazine, desethyl-atrazine) in drinking water which exceeded regulative values. After filtration with the eSpringTM water purifier the concentrations decreased below the regulative values. We observed the total number of coliform bacteria, the presence of Pseudomonas aeruginosa and enterococcus in drinking water samples. All microbiological analyses were in accordance with Slovene regulations on drinking water. However, the total number of microorganisms decreased in filtered water. We can conclude that eSpringTM water purifier further enhanced the quality of drinking water. |
