diplomsko delo
Abstract

INCLUSION OF THEATRE INTO SLOVENE CLASSES |
Secondary abstract: |
The main goal of the diploma thesis was to review the representation of theatre activity in the study plan of Slovene language and literature in elementary school and secondary school programs and its representation in obligatory subjects, which can be chosen by the students. With the examination of different sources and descriptive method we gained information about the representation of theatre in study plan. In addition we used interview as the research method to see, how it is being realized in one of the elementary schools. The theatre is incorporated in the study plan of Slovene language and literature through all the years of elementary education, mostly in the last three years, when the students get two additional selective subjects: theatre club and theatre and drama. The students get to know different theatre techniques and occupations, they also learn about public appearance and how to prepare theatre plays. A theatre performance enables them to understand certain literary works, actions of characters in literature, as well as time and space of literary action. In elementary schools they deal with theater activity only theoretically. They see a theatre play within the framework of obligatory "cultural days" and only a couple of students choose obligatory subjects theatre club and theatre and drama. Theatre activity is also represented in secondary school programs. They get to know the theatre art, which is significant for the time or literary period they are dealing with. Under the auspice of The Slovene National Theatre Maribor drama, opera, ballet and symphony orchestra are combined and in its repertoire there are theatre performances, which match their obligatory literary works from study plan of Slovene language and literature in elementary school and secondary school programs. Every year on "culture day" there is an "open door day" at cultural institutions and on that day there are free shows, plays and concerts across the country. Theatre performances of literary works bring the theatre world closer to the students. They can understand the story, time and space of literary action better and easily identify with the literary characters. |
