diplomsko delo
Abstract
Diplomsko delo v teoretičnem delu obravnava socialne zvrsti jezika in interesne govorice s poudarkom na slengu. Izpostavlja pomen in vlogo narečja ter ruški govor in njegove značilnosti. V povezavi s tem sledi kratka predstavitev kraja Ruše. Diplomsko delo predstavlja didaktična načela in izpostavlja načelo naslonitve knjižnega jezika na vsakdanji govor učencev. Obravnava otrokov govor in izpostavlja dejavnike govornega razvoja. V ta namen sem uporabila vnaprej pripravljen anketni vprašalnik avtoric doc. dr. Melite Zemljak Jontes in doc. dr. Simone Pulko.

This diploma paper in its theoretical part deals with the social varieties of language and the sociolects, among which special emphasis is laid on slang. It stresses the significance and role of dialects as well as the language spoken in Ruše and its characteristics. Consequently, this is followed by a short presentation of the town Ruše. The diploma paper presents methodological principles of language teaching and points out the principle of the treatment of the standard language variety by contrasting it to the everyday speech of pupils. Furthermore, it deals with the child speech and stresses the factors of speech development. In order to deal with the subjects of the diploma paper the Slovenian curriculum for the last three grades of primary school is investigated and with regard to this the degree to which dialects and other social varieties of language are included within the independent work-books Slovenščina za vsakdan in vsak dan by Rokus, being used by the pupils in the Slovenian classes at the primary school in Ruše. In the conclusion of the theoretical part the authors and titles of existing studies, dealing with the use of social varieties of language by primary and secondary school children, and their basic findings are listed. The central topics of the diploma paper are the social varieties of language, used by pupils of the last three grades of primary school in different speech situations. With regard to this I was interested in whether the frequency of the use of the social language varieties by pupils differs according to their sex, age, place of residence and parents' education. For my study I used a survey questionnaire having been written by Melita Zemljak Jontes, PhD, and Simona Pulko, PhD. Based on this questionnaire I found out which language varieties are used by the pupils having taken part in the survey in their domestic environment when they speak to their parents and other locals of the same age or of different ages as the pupils. Moreover their school environment was included, to find out which language variety the pupils use in classes of Slovenian and of other subjects, as well as in conversations with each other, i. e. with their classmates and peers, and with school employees. My findings also included the extent to which the pupils master the local dialect, as well as their attitude towards the dialect. |
