Abstract

Magistrsko delo obravnava potresno odporno projektiranje dvoetažne armiranobetonske-lesene stavbe.

Secondary title: Earthquake resistant design of reinforced concrete - timber building
Secondary abstract: Master thesis describes earthquake-resistant design of two story building with open loft space. Two stories are made of reinforced concrete, while loft is made of timber elements. Concrete part of the building consists of walls and slabs. Walls are distributed along the outer perimeter of the building, around the staircase and elevator. Building is cantilevered in upper stories. Two types of structural systems were investigated for the timber part of the building. First system consists of rigid frames which are hinged to concrete parapet. Second system consists of columns which are fully supported with concrete parapet. Roof beams are hinged to the columns. Horizontal stability of the structure is provided with timber slab, which acts as diaphragm of the roof structure. After seismic analysis we decide for second structural system, which is improved with steel bracings. Master thesis consists of three parts. The structure, materials and loads are described in the first part. Follows results of seismic analysis and design, while in the third part, the analysis and design of structure under permanent and variable loads are presented. Considering analysis results we come to the conclusion that the structural system meets requirements of ultimate limit states and serviceability limit states.
