diplomsko delo
Abstract

Secondary abstract: |
This thesis, entitled Impact of the puppet on emotional, social and cognitive development of the child, consists of two parts. The theoretical part is based on expert literature discussing general findings about puppets and the ways of using them in kindergarten. It focuses on the role of the puppet in child development, particularly its effects on emotional, social and cognitive development. Moreover, it points out that the use of puppets in various areas of education provides the foundations for creative expression in children. It also describes the power of puppets and their importance for children and their teachers alike. The findings suggest that puppets have special powers which should be given a chance to shine and show their therapeutic potential in occupational therapy. Another point of interest was symbolic and theatre play, paying special attention to theatre, which is the most liberating and boundless form of creativity in childhood. The final part discusses puppets as pets that help children express their emotions and thoughts. A puppet as a pet is being increasingly used as a motivational factor. As for the practical part, it follows the development of the children involved in various puppet-related activities, with special attention devoted to their emotional, social and cognitive development. |
