diplomsko delo univerzitetnega študija
Abstract
V svojem diplomskem delu pišem o dopingu v plavanju v Evropi in Sloveniji.
Sledi analiza trenutnega stanja v evropskem in slovenskem plavanju, kjer pišem o najodmevnejših dopinških aferah v zadnjem obdobju. Nedavno sta bili zaradi kršitve dopinških pravil s štiriletno prepovedjo udejstvovanja v športu kaznovani dve slovenski plavalki.
Najpomembnejši del diplomskega dela predstavljata poglavji o problemih dopinga v plavanju in zmanjševanju oz. preprečevanju uporabe dopinga. Tu pišem o problematiki informiranja in izobraževanja za šport brez dopinga, pogostosti doping kontrol, protidopinškem programu v plavanju v Sloveniji, mednarodnih konvencijah, ipd. V zaključku diplomskega dela pa povzamem najpomembnejše ugotovitve.

Doping in swimming in Europe and Slovenia |
Secondary abstract: |
In my diploma paper I write about doping in swimming in Europe and Slovenia. Swimming is an extremely demanding and laborious sport. Becoming a top swimmer requires a great amount of effort and strong will; to reach the top one must be ready to give up many things. Wishing to become the best, people often take to using illegal performance-enhancing drugs – doping.
In the beginning of the paper I explain the key terms – what is doping, what is the Prohibited List, what are the dangers of doping, what is doping control and what are the sanctions for those who violate the anti-doping rules. Further on I focus on the most notorious past cases of doping in swimming, among which we cannot overlook the systematic doping in East Germany. I also explain the role of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and Slovenian Anti-Doping Organisation (SLOADO). This is followed by an analysis of the current situation in the European and Slovenian swimming, where I write about the most famous doping incidents in the last couple of years. Recently, two Slovenian swimmers have been punished by a four-year suspension because they had violated the anti-doping rules.
The most important part of my diploma paper are the two chapters speaking about the doping problems in swimming as well as about the reduction and prevention of doping in sport. In these two chapters I write about the problems of lack of information and education for sport without doping, the frequency of doping control, about anti-doping programme in Slovenian swimming, international conventions, etc. In the conclusion I summarize the most important findings. |
