Abstract

V zaključnem delu bomo predstavili pasti in nevarnosti turizma. Predstavili bomo tovrsten način potovanja in njegove prednosti.

Secondary title: Safety in guided moto tourism
Secondary abstract: This thesis discusses dangers and hazards of tourism. We will focus on unique branch of tourism which recently became very popular: Moto-tourism. It differs from regular tourism by the fact that travelling is done with motorcycle under watchful eye of an experienced motorcycle tour leader e.g. the guide. While the guide is constantly present, travelling with motorcycles in foreign land poses various hazards to travelling tourists. And that is usually the reason why they decide to travel with a closed group. We will present advantages this kind of travelling offers. Focus will be on Balkans region, more exactly Western Balkans. Diversity of The Balkans presents a challenging environment for most visitors regarding culture, infrastructure, and climate. In the thesis we will also discuss how participants and guides of this organized tour cope with these challenges. Our findings were that participants on a guided tour lay their trust in hand of an organizer ¬—from safety perspective and travel logistics. It shows that travel guide takes the responsibility not only in providing the sense of safety, but safety and security as well. Not many tourists were concerned about safety in Western Balkans region. Some of them expressed their doubts before booking a tour, but at the end of the journey they would return to the region for sure. It is also noticeable that tourism in Western Balkans is increasing.
