Abstract
V diplomskem projektu Uporaba napredne analitike pri upravljanju z veliko količino podatkov na primeru Cortana Intelligence Suite, smo se osredotočili na dve temeljni tematiki – masovne podatke in napredno analitiko.
Z masovnimi podatki poimenujemo velike količine, visoke hitrosti in raznolike vrste informacijskih sredstev ter podatkov, ki zahtevajo stroškovno učinkovito in inovativno obdelavo, ki omogoča nadgrajeno pridobivanje spoznanj, sprejemanje odločitev ter avtomatizacijo procesov. Ti so tesno povezani z napredno analitiko, pri kateri gre za analiziranje podatkov in vsebin z uporabo naprednih tehnik in orodij, ki presegajo tradicionalne analitične postopke. S pomočjo napredne analitike lahko odkrivamo globlja spoznanja, oblikujemo napovedi in ustvarjamo priporočila. Obe tematiki smo podrobno predstavili in pojasnili temeljne teoretične zakonitosti in najnovejše trende na teh področjih.
V zadnjem delu diplomskega projekta smo teoretično znanje iz področja masovnih podatkov in napredne analitike združili in njuno povezavo pojasnili na praktičnem primeru rešitve Cortana Intelligence Suite. Cortana Intelligence Suite je zbirka integriranih orodij in storitev, namenjenih vključevanju in avtomatizaciji napredne analitike v podjetja. Posamezna orodja, platforme in storitve smo natančno razložili in pojasnili koncepte delovanja. Za konec smo predstavili še študiji primera, ter z njima podkrepili vse predstavljene teoretične zakonitosti.

In the diploma thesis project Use of advanced analytics in managing big data in the case of Cortan Intelligence Suite, we focused on two main topics – big data and advanced analytics.
Big Data is high-volume, high-velocity and high-variety information assets that demand cost-effective, innovative forms of information processing that enable enhanced insight, decision making, and process automation. They are closely related to advanced analytics, that analyze data and content using sophisticated techniques and tools, that go beyond traditional analytical procedures. With ddvanced analytics we can discover deeper insights, make predictions, or generate recommendations. We have presented details of both main topics and explained basic theoretical principles as well as the latest trends in these fields.
In the last part of the diploma thesis project, we combined the theoretical principles of big data and advanced analytics and explained their connection on the practical case of the Cortana Intelligence Suite Solution. Cortana Intelligence Suite is a collection of integrated tools and services designed to integrate and automate advanced analytics into businesses. We have explicity presented tools, platforms and services and explained the concepts of their operations. In the final part, we supported all the presented theoretical principles with two case studies. |
