Secondary abstract: | The purpose of this work is to present the preparation of novel polymer coatings based on polymethacrylate derivatives on medical grade steel AISI 316LVM. Through the combination of individual characterization, testing the release of the incorporated analgesic substance and the analysis of sample surface morphology by atomic force microscopy (AFM), the behavior of the multilayer coating on stainless steel was investigated. Deep understanding of the coatings performance would allow prolonged use of such medical implants. |
