Abstract

Obstaja pregovor, da za vsakim uspešnim moškim stoji močna ženska – in prav takšna ženska danes zaseda vodilne položaje v politiki in podjetjih. Managerke na vodilnih položajih so zelo zanimiva tema za raziskavo, saj mnoge raziskovalce zanima, kako same kompetence ženskega spola vplivajo na vodenje in ali se pri tem razlikujejo od moških vodij. Kljub temu da je danes vedno večje število managerk na vodilnih položajih, pa se vedno še najdejo mnenja, ki govorijo o tem, da ženske v družbi nimajo enakovrednih vlog, statusa, moči, niti možnosti za socialno mobilnost kot moški. Kot vse se razvija tudi management in razvoj tega do nedavnega ni vključeval analize položaja žensk v managementu. Nove teorije danes to že vključujejo in temeljijo tudi na raziskovanju managementa za oba spola, čeprav so rezultati o udeležbi žensk v managementu prihodnosti precej optimistični. Prvi del magistrskega dela zajema predvsem teoretične prvine, kot je definiranje managementa na podlagi različnih avtorjev. Rdeča nit osrednjega dela je namenjena ženskam v managementu, ki zavzemajo vodstvene položaje. Na tem mestu smo posebej izpostavili ovire, s katerimi se srečujejo ženske na poti do vrha, in predstavili dejavnike, ki njihov položaj izboljšajo.

Secondary abstract: There is a saying that a strong woman stands for every successful man - and just such a woman today occupies leading positions in politics and businesses. Managers in senior positions are a very interesting topic for research, as many researchers are interested in how women's competences influence leadership and whether they differ from men's leaders. Despite the fact that there are growing numbers of managers in leading positions today, there are still opinions that say that women in society do not have equal roles, status, power, or opportunities for social mobility as men. As everything is being developed, management and development do not include an analysis of the position of women in management until recently. New theories now involve and are also based on research management for both sexes, although the results of women's participation in the management of the future are rather optimistic. The first part of master's thesis mainly covers theoretical elements, such as the definition of management based on various authors. The main thread of the central part is dedicated to women in management who take on leadership positions. At this point, we have highlighted the obstacles faced by women on the way to the top, and presented the factors that improve their situation.
