Secondary abstract: | Rainbow is an often used motive in animated children movies and animations. It symbolizes colorfulness, playfulness and harmony, thus inspiring human imagination since time immemorial. This diploma thesis focuses on the animation of the physical background of the rainbow with three different representations in virtual environments. First we thoroughly present the formation of the rainbow. Then we focus on three representations with whom we want to achieve a realistic depiction of three different types of rainbows and thus determine how accurately virtual rainbows can be visualised in comparison to the rainbows from the real world. For this purpose, we used the software tool called Cinema 4D. |
