Abstract

To sem naredil s pomočjo nano-preciznega robota.

Secondary title: Sintering of micro-sized polystyrene spheres for building microstructures with a nano-precision robot
Secondary abstract: The aim of this dissertation is the heat treatment (also known as sintering) of microstructures or more accurately of micrometer-sized polystyrene particles. First of all, it was important to find out the right way of adding heat and afterwards to make a furnace for sintering of micrometer-sized constructions. Before the procedure of sintering it was necessary to build constructions out of polystyrene particles (two-dimensional, three-dimensional), which I managed to do with help of the nano-precision robot. The main challenge was to regulate the best time and temperature intervals to merge the micrometer-sized polystyrene particles. Firstly, I regulated intervals which apply to two-dimensional constructions. Subsequently, I examined the effect of sintering on three-dimensional objects.
