delo diplomskega projekta

Abstract

Toda, kljub vsemu bančni sektor še vedno uživa veliko stopnjo zaupanja, saj etičnost bančnega delovanja ni le politika naložb v bankah in njihovih poslovnih odločitev, ampak jo lahko razumemo precej širše. V okviru druge hipoteze smo preverjali še dve podtezi: H2a – Banke v slovenskem bančnem sistemu v svojih javno dostopnih dokumentih omenijo pojem etike, H2b – Banke v slovenskem bančnem sistemu v svojih javno dostopnih dokumentih definirajo pojem etike in H2c – Banke v slovenskem bančnem sistemu imajo svoje etične kodekse.

Secondary title: Ethics in banking
Secondary abstract: The thesis focuses on the importance of ethics and its problems within financial-retail banking. We discussed the notion of ethics and new information regarding ethical banking, its operation, importance as well as where ethical banks can be found. The first part raises the question of whether a bank as a financial institution can be ethical considering the responsibility for formation and development in the recent financial crisis. Such a bank cannot be ethical as its decisions have to be ethical all the time with every decision, every step they make. Before the crisis banks weren't as ethical as they should have been. However, this also poses a dilemma as it is hard to determine whether people or the community would be able to have confidence in the bank and forget its unethical and immoral behaviour. But the banking sector still has a huge rate of trust and ethics in the banking operations. It can be understood widely than just as investment policy. We could say it is socially responsible. Ethics in banking refers to the involvement of the community and to sustainable companies. Such banks provide financing for projects and scholarships, sponsor events, promote environmental protection and, above all, wish to cooperate with ethical and moral individuals. Socially responsible banks can act ethical. In thesis we have made three hypothesis. The first one (H1) explains that Slovenian banking system does not work an ethical bank or a bank which is based on ethical principles, like FEBEA and GABV described, second hypothesis (H2) presents that the meaning of ethics is explained in publicly accessible documents. Within the second hypotesis we have added two under theses: H2a – banks in the Slovenian banking system mention the meaning of ethics in theirs publicly accesbile documents, H2b – banks in Slovenian banking system have the concept of ethics defined in publicly accesbile documents and H2c – banks in Slovenian banking system have ethical codes. Desrcibed hypothesis were defined with publicly accessible documents with specific infomations. We have used tables to help us make a decision about pledged hypotesis.
