Abstract

Osrednji namen diplomskega dela je študija vpliva tlaka na kristalno strukturo izločenega CaCO3 iz vodne raztopine. Za ta namen smo izvedli štiri različne načine izparevanja, in sicer izparevanje z rotavaporjem, tlačno posodo, izparevanjem pri atmosferskem tlaku pri 40 °C in pri 100 °C. Izvedli smo tudi izparevanje s prisotnim zaviralcem rasti CaCO3 – magnezijevimi ioni. V nalogi smo se omejili na merjenje absorbance, motnosti, pH vrednosti, zeta potenciala in velikosti delcev, takoj po nastali suspenziji v modelni raztopini in vodovodni vodi. Izločene kristale smo analizirali s pomočjo rentgenske praškovne difrakcije. Ugotovili smo, da tlak vpliva na lastnosti CaCO3, vendar ne takoj po nastanku oborine. Spremembe so se pričele nekje po 15 minutah obdelave vzorcev. Pri vseh eksperimentih se je izločal kalcit. Pri obdelavi vodovodne vode, v tlačni posodi, se je izločil tudi aragonit, a se je kasneje modificiral v kalcit. Aragonit smo zasledili še pri dodatku MgCl2.

Secondary abstract: The main problem of our thesis is the influence of pressure on the crystalline properties of CaCO3 precipitate from aqueous solution. For this study we carried out four different ways of evaporation: with rotary evaporator, with pressure vessel and evaporation at atmospheric pressure at 40 °C as well as 100 °C. We carried out the evaporation with the present inhibitors of the growth of CaCO3 – magnesium ions. In this paper, we limited ourselves to the measurement of absorbency, turbidity, pH value, zeta potential and particle size immediately after the precipitation of CaCO3 from model solution and tap water. We analyzed the excreted crystals with the help of XRD. We have concluded that pressure affects the properties of CaCO3 but not immediately after precipitation of CaCO3. The changes began after 15 minutes of sample processing. Calcite was excreted in all experiments. The treatment of tap water in pressure vessel also made the aragonite to excrete, although later aragonite modified into calcite. Aragonite was also found in the additive of MgCl2.
