Abstract
V magistrski nalogi so obravnave uspešnice, to so knjige, ki na tržišču v kratkem času dosežejo nadpovprečen uspeh oziroma dobiček. Analizirane so z vidika trženja in umetniške vrednosti. Osnova trženja je razložena v poglavju o literarnem sistemu, ki literaturo obravnava kot avtonomen družbeni sistem, pri čemer ELZ raziskovanje usmerja od avtorjev in literarnih besedil k vsem dejavnostim, ki so povezane s teksti, teorija literarnega polja pa uvaja pojem simbolnega kapitala, s katerim je mogoče razložiti objektivna razmerja med udeleženci literarnega polja. Trženje literature zaznamujejo različni dejavniki (aktualnost teme, blagovna znamka avtorja, zunanjost knjige, promocija, kritike, nagrade), katerih učinkovitost je obravnavana pri analizi izbranih prodajnih uspešnic. Raziskana je tudi literarna plat uspešnic, pri čemer je deloma potrjena teza, da med njimi ni mogoče najti literature z umetniško vrednostjo, saj trg zaradi naravnanosti k množični potrošnji obvladuje trivialna književnost. Slovenski prostor zaznamuje še ena posebnost, to je velika razlika med prodajnimi in izposojanimi uspešnicami, saj se okoli splošnih knjižnic in knjigarn razvijata dva precej različna knjižna ekosistema. Manjši del pozornosti je zato namenjen tudi uspešnicam, ki obvladujejo sezname izposoje.

Secondary abstract: |
Master's thesis deals with bestsellers, meaning books that achieve within a short period of time above-average success or profit. They are analysed within the aspects of marketing and literary value. A basis of the marketing gets explained in the chapter about literary system which deals with literature as an autonomous social system, in conjunction with which the ELZ research guides from authors and literary works to all activities connected to texts; whereas, the theory of literary field introduces the concept of symbolic capital, with which it is possible to explain objective ratio among participants of literary field. Marketing of literature is characterised by various factors (important topics, trade mark of an author, an exterior of a book, promotion, criticism, awards) which efficiency gets discussed within the analysis of chosen bestsellers. A literary context of bestsellers is also researched, where one hypothesis gets partly confirmed. This hypothesis claims that, among bestsellers, one cannot find literature with literary value, because the market, with its stance towards large-scale consumption, is controlled by trivial literature. The Slovene area is characterised by another speciality, this is the large difference between sold and borrowed bestseller, since in and around general libraries and book stores the two quite different book ecosystems are getting developed. A small part of attention is for that reason also given to the bestsellers that prevail on the lists of borrowed books. |
