diplomsko delo

Abstract

Secondary title: The role of parents and teachers in the development of values of preschool children
Secondary abstract: In the theoretical part of the graduation thesis, we first focused on moral education and moral development, since this is a prerequisite for formation of values. We also mentioned learning of moral rules that children learn based on their own experience, and parents use various educational techniques to control their behaviour. We also presented definitions of values of individual authors, which all claim that values are assumed and internalized, that they direct our behaviour, and are something that is valuable and they commit a person to something. This is followed by explanation of Musek's hierarchy of values that consists of lower level, value orientation of medium-scale, value types, and values of super dimension. In the graduation thesis, we also wrote why values are important for human beings or how a person can benefit from values in life, and presented four approaches of how adults teach children of values. Values change or form throughout our entire life, therefore, we found it important to also pay attention to this chapter. This is followed by the most important chapters related to the pre-school period, namely in what way we can get values closer to a child, when to start with education of values, value learning through experience, and the main topic of the graduation thesis: adult's role in development of values, which was also the most extensive.
