Abstract

V diplomskem projektu smo preučili grško krizo, ki smo jo lahko spremljali v medijih, raziskali, kaj jo je povzročilo, kako so se soočali z njo in kakšne so njene posledice. Preučili smo, s katerimi krizami se srečujemo v sodobni ekonomiji, katere so neposredno povezane z bančnim sistemom, kako se širijo in kako se jih zajezi. Opredelili smo grško ekonomsko ozadje, ki je bilo povod za dolžniško krizo, natančno opisali krizo vse od vzrokov, vplivov bonitetnih agencij, do finančne pomoči in reform, ki jih je Grčija nato sprejela. Ugotovili smo, da sta grška geografska lega in struktura gospodarstva močno vplivali na njeno konkurenčnost, da bi bilo krizo povsem možno preprečiti in da bonitetne agencije kot neodvisne institucije močno vplivajo na razvoj krize. Ob tem smo zaključili z ugotovitvijo, da je varčevanje med krizo imelo močne posledice, ki so jih občutili vsi in se poznajo še danes.

Secondary abstract:	In this project we examined the Greek crisis that we witnessed. We made a research about what led to it, how it was treated and what consequences do we face. We examined the crises that we face in the modern economy, which crises are directly related to the banking system, how are they spread and how can we restrict them. We defined Greek economic background which triggered debt crisis, we precisely described the crisis itself, its causes, the affects of credit rating agencies and the financial aid packages and reforms that Greece later received. We found out that geographical position and economic structure of Greece had a strong impact on its competitiveness that the crisis itself could be easily prevented, and that credit rating agencies as independent institutions are strongly influencing the development of the crisis. At the end, we concluded that the effects of austerity during the crisis had severe consequences that were felt by everyone and are still present today.
