Abstract
Izhodišče: V prehospitalnem okolju se zdravstveno osebje srečuje s čustvenimi in fizičnimi težavami pacientov, ob katerih morajo v procesu sprejema in ob soočanju z njihovimi težavami ohraniti profesionalno distanco.
Podatki so bili zbrani s pomočjo anonimnega strukturiranega vprašalnika. Podatke smo analizirali s pomočjo računalniških programov Excel in SPSS. Uporabljene so bile deskriptivne in inferenčne statistične metode.

However, at the process of patient admission and at negotiation with their health problems the paramedics has to maintain a professional distance. Emotional work has an important role in the process of treatment.
Purpose: Describe the concept of stress-related emotional work of the health care staff in prehospital setting and to determine the impact of emotional work on the phenomenon of stress at nurses and what factors influence the onset of it.
Methods: The study is based on quantitative methodology. For a theoretical part we have used a systematic review and analysis of the existing literature. Data were collected using an anonymous structured questionnaire. Data were analysed with the computer program Excel and SPSS. Descriptive and inferential statistical methods have been used.
Results: We did not find statistically significant differences in the level of perception of stress among paramedics and doctors (p = 0.095). We have found that there is a statistically significant relationship between the degree of perceived stress and negative aspects of mood (p = 0.000). Furthermore, we found that 71 % of respondents work in a stressful environment, for 26 % respondents the job have been extremely stressful. Only 3 % of respondents work in prehospital environment does not constitute stress.
Conclusion: Stress at work because of emotional labor is an inevitable phenomenon, but it can be controlled with the appropriate managerial strategies. It is necessary for introduction of preventive training in the field of stress management and emotional work, especially for young people, paramedics and doctors with less work experience. |
