Abstract

Uporaba lesne biomase (sekanci, peleti...) je vedno večja in se hitro razvija. Razlogi za hiter razvoj so okoljske direktive EU, manjše breme za okolje ter obnovljivost vira. V vseh termičnih procesih uporabe potrebujemo biomaso z nizko vsebnostjo vlage, saj tako povečamo izkoristke in kakovost predelave. Zaradi omenjenega predstavlja razvoj ustreznih visoko učinkovitih in cenovno dostopnih sušilnih procesov poseben izziv. Medtem ko je sušenje biomase pri višjih temperaturah že dokaj raziskano področje, pa se še vedno iščejo primerne metode za sušenje pri nižjih temperaturah, npr. z odpadno toploto, ki se v industrijskih obratih izpušča neuporabljena v okolje. Pri razvoju takšnih procesov in naprav je potrebno posvetiti pozornost enostavnim in učinkovitim izvedbam, ki omogočajo doseganje relativno nizkih cen izvedene opreme. Diplomsko delo prikazuje študijo procesa ekstenzivnega sušenja in vpliva dejavnikov nanj. Tekom dela smo ugotovili, da je sam proces dovolj časovno in tehnično učinkovit za uporabo v industriji.

Secondary title: Extensive low-temperature drying process for woodchips
Secondary abstract: The use of wood biomass (woodchips, wood pellets ...) is growing and developing rapidly. The reasons for the rapid growth are EU’s environmental directives, a lowered burden on the environment and the renewability of the resource. In all thermal processes, we need low moisture biomass, which increases the efficiency and quality of processing. Therefore, the development of suitable high-efficiency and affordable drying processes is a challenge on its own. While the drying of wood biomass at higher temperatures is already a well-studied area, the suitable methods for drying at lower temperatures are still being sought, e.g. with waste heat, which is in industrial plants being released unused in the environment. In the development of such processes and devices, attention must be paid to simple and efficient implementations, which enable the achievement of relatively low prices of equipment. The diploma work presents a study of the process of extensive drying and factors, that influence the process. During the study, we concluded that the process itself is both time-consuming efficient and technically efficient for industrial use.
