Abstract

Z optičnim osciloskopom lahko opazujemo obliko optičnega signala, njegovo amplitudo in frekvenco. V tem diplomskem delu je opisana izdelava elektronskega vmesnika, ki optični signal pretvori v električnega/digitalnega in ga nato prikaže na računalniškem zaslonu. Opisano je delovanje sistema, elektronski elementi, ki so uporabljeni v vmesniku, programerska koda implementirana v mikrokrmilniku in celoten potek pretvorbe optičnega signala v električnega. Cilj naloge je izdelati vmesnik, ki bo zmožen zajemanja in prikazovanja optičnih signalov pasovne širine od 0 Hz do 100 MHz in da bo uporaben v realnem okolju.

Secondary abstract: With optical osciloscope we can watch the shape of optical signal, its amplitude and frequency. The development of electronical interface, which transforms optical signal into electrical/digital and then displays it on a computer screen is described in this thesis. Operation of the system, electrical components, which are used in this interface, programming code which is implemented in microcontroller and whole process of turning optical signal in electrical one is described as well. The goal is to create an interface, which will be able to sample and display optical signals with bandwidth from 0 Hz to 100 MHz and that it will be usable in real environment.
