In the diploma paper, we put emphasis on the fashion illustration, which can be discussed from different points of view. The theoretical part of the research consists of three parts. In the first part, the main boundary markers of fashion illustration through history are presented. The second part includes the presentation of painting techniques and materials. In the third part, we describe how characteristics of materials influence the look of textile or parts of the clothing unit. In the experimental part of the diploma paper, based on the photos of three different clothing images, the analysis of the look of material, for each clothing unit separately, has been made. The latter is followed by studies of materials made by different painting techniques. Further, the examples of the most appropriate look, according to chosen photos, are used in making the fashion illustrations. The purpose and the painting technique that were chosen for certain material are described in the results and discussion. The look of fashion illustration has changed through times. Regardless to its appearances, it has always been a significant part of presentation of fashion products and was therefore important through all periods, even today. |
