Abstract

Model for simulating fabric loading and deformations during spreading process |
Secondary abstract: |
A certain traction force acts on the fabric during the spreading process on the automated spreading machine. This force depends on the way in which the fabric is being unrolled from the fabric roll over the guidingžstretching cylinders of the machine up to the spreading area. Tensional, compressional and friction forces that act on the moving part of the fabric cause greater orminor tensional deformations in the fabric. The magnitude of the loading depends on the applied machinery and the spreading parameters, as well as on the mechanical and physical properties and rheological parameters of the fabric. The resulting deformation depends on the size of the acting forces andthe resistance of the fabric against the traction force that acts on the moving part of the fabric during the spreading process. The analysis of tensional loading of the fabric in the spreading process is presented in the frame of this paper taking into account the complex question of tensional loading that acts on the moving part of the fabric and complex relaxation phenomenon in the fabric after laying down into fabric layers. Furthermore, a model for simulating the fabric loading and deformations during the spreading process is proposed. A study on technologically conditioned tensional loading of the fabric during the spreading process as well as a study on the relationship between loading and deformation was carried out for that purpose. The fabric loading can be in this case stated as a consequence of the traction, friction and compressional forces during the spreading process. The proposed model for simulating the loading and deformations during the fabric spreading process was designed using the finite elements method based on the defined relationship between loading and deformation. |
