diplomsko delo
Abstract

Isolation of cellulose nanocrystals with different acids |
Secondary abstract: |
Cellulose, the main component of cell walls in plants, is because of its biodegradability and renewability getting more attention in new areas of use such as nanotechnology. Scientists are using acid hydrolysis for producing cellulose nanocrystals, that make with their unique properties an excellent material for reinforcing composites and are showing the potential for other applications. The goal of this work was to extract cellulose nanocrystals, using sulfuric (VI), phosphoric (V) and hydrochloric acid. The source of cellulose was waste cotton from Litija Spinnery. I optimized the hydrolysis conditions for different acids, and analyzed the extracted nanocrystals. |
