magistrsko delo
Abstract

Wireless digital system for acoustic guitar |
Secondary abstract: |
The aim of the master's thesis was to develop an embedded system that enables simple and non-invasive transformation of the acoustic guitar into an electro-acoustic guitar.
The system consisted of a transmitting and receiving module, which were connected with digital wireless communication on the unlicensed ISM band 864 MHz. On the transmitting module, a magnetic guitar pickup was used to convert the acoustic signal into an electric signal, which was adjusted with the designed audio preamplifier. A 24-bit AD converter was used to convert the adjusted analog audio signal into digital form. A rechargeable LiPo battery was used to power the transmitting module. On the receiving module, a 24-bit DA converter was used to convert the digital audio signal into an analog signal, which was intended to be connected to the PA system or amplifier. Receiving module also included a digital audio signal processing for volume control and 3-band audio equalizer. Embedded software for real-time sampling, playback and wireless transmission of the audio signal and the software for the entire digital wireless communication protocol was stored and executed on the microcontroller of the transmitting and receiving modules.
From the results of the performed measurements of the prototype circuits of the transmitting and receiving modules, it was concluded that the realized system largely corresponds with the predefined project specifications. In the end, possible improvements and upgrades were given. |
