Abstract

Secondary title: Verbal violence against nurses and their legal protection
Secondary abstract: Problems in the Slovenian health care system have led to intolerances from patients and their relatives, therefore nurses are very much subjects to verbal abuse. The nurse is protected from these type of abuse by the Slovenian legislation, however not all nurses are familiar with it. The most crucial factor is that nurses know how to preserve their autonomy in front of co-workers, supervisors, patients and their relatives.
